Foolish one with the smile, you don`t have to be brave, even though we`re falling, we`re falling from grace.
"Hey! That`s cheating!"
The sound of children playing hide and seek made Naruto feel rather nostalgic. And bitter since he hadn`t really had a chance to play the game when he was younger. But the blond Genin did not usually ponder on past happenings. Especially when it came to his childhood. He didn`t hold grudges[well sometimes] and he didn`t hold the actions people had done against themselves. If they still thought he was a fox brat, then they could just go eat a crayon, `cause Uzumaki Naruto did not care one bit. He had become known for being one of the strongest shinobi in the village. At least he thought so. Well, he had gained the respect he wanted from people. But not as the Hokage. But, respect wasn`t his only goal. His other goal was to protect everyone in the village. To protect Konohagakure with all his might.
That was now his goal.
Since his intial goal had been to get Sasuke back to Konohagakure for Sakura, and after he had accomplished said goal, he couldn`t think of any other goal. Other then being Hokage and fighting Sasuke, what else was there? ...Oh geez, he was thinking way to much for comfort. "No! You`re the one who`s cheating!" The sound of a kid speaking brought the blue eyed Genin out of his musings. Inwardly Naruto rolled his eyes. It was obvious that one kid was cheating. The kid had his fingers crossed from behind is back. A sure sign that he was lying! Grinning at his discovery, Naruto sat on the bench, absentmindedly swinging his legs back and forth.
The children giggled and continued running around. It was supposedly 4 `o clock or something like that. Naruto stopped swinging his legs and gripped the arms of the bench. It was made out of rock and such. He remembered sitting at this very bench many other times in the past. To say the least, Naruto was bored. Extremely bored. There weren`t enough words to describe Uzumaki Naruto`s boredom. Seriously. Not. Enough. Words. He licked his dry lips and leaned in his seat. What was there to do at a time like this? At this point, there weren`t any options. At least, that`s what he thought.
"Man...Things are so slow today..."
ooc: e.e I know it`s short. But my muse`s running low. *Shrugs*

[[OOC: Hope you don't mind me posting. ^^]]
The sun kissed her pale cheeks as she stepped outside. The gentle breeze whisked through her hair and flower petals landed on the ground around her. Cool, yet not too cold, the day was peaceful. The blown petals gave the air a sweet fragrance. It was now afternoon.
Closing the door behind her, the girl decided that today would be a lovely day to go out for a walk. Bringing nothing but a gentle smile and a light heart, the Hyuuga girl was accompanied by the very breeze that had greeted her upon her stepping outside. Her feet began to move her without a command from her mind. *Where to go...?* she asked herself. *Where to go...?* An idea hit her--the park. It would be a wonderful experience.
As she neared her destination, she could hear the sound of children arguing. "Hey! That's Cheating!" Although she knew that arguing wasn't good, she couldn't help but let out a small laugh. It reminded her of her own childhood. Of course, she was never the one arguing. She would watch, though. A wallflower. That was all she ever was in those situations.
Her lavender-tinted eyes scanned over the children. She found them to be very cute in their playing. She soon realized that she was staring. Her eyes were soft, but staring none the less. If the children were to notice, they'd feel very uncomfortable. She blinked to tear her vision away, then turned in the opposite direction.
Her heart tightened, yet, she didn't know why. She could see someone sitting on a bench, yet, she dared not look who. She quickly turned her attention back to the children. Her heart was racing.
Why was her heart pounding so furiously? She didn't even know who she was looking at. Was that rude? To look at someone and then look away from them didn't seem to be a kind act. *Maybe they didn't notice...* she thought as she tensed up. Who was it? Her eyes widened. There was only one person in all of Konoha that made her heart pound in such a way. *Naruto-kun..* she thought, slowly turning back to face him. He was still quite a distance away, but the day-brightening vibe he gave off drifted towards her, making her heart slightly tangle itself up.
Taking in a deep breath, Hinata began to walk towards him, trying to stay as calm as she could. She shook herself mentally. Walking over to say 'hi' wasn't anything to be afraid of! But still...
She was now directly to the side of the bench where he sat. Most likely, he hadn't even noticed her approach. She searched for words. "Konichiwa, Naruto-kun." That was the only thing she could come up with. Clasping her hands in front of her, she smiled. Now she would wait for him to respond. She was still conscious and not too red in the cheeks. She was doing fine so far.
