Birth–
Masaru is the only son of Tamahiko Ando, a local architect and construction worker. Almost no one in his family had ever been shinobi; for the most part, all of his family members contented themselves with performing low-profile manual labor. During his birth, his mother came down with a dangerously high fever and passed away soon afterwards. As such, a single father, several other laymen, and friends of his father’s, raised Masaru.
Childhood–
Practically from the moment that he was born, Masaru aspired to become a fully-fledged shinobi. His father and several “uncles” encouraged him to follow his dreams, so he spent much of his childhood “training” until he could enter the academy. Most of the time, though, he helped out with any construction work that he could. His father always supported him in anything that he pursued and instilled in him the ability to hope and dream along with the strength to work hard regardless of the obstacles.
Academy Days–
Masaru finally fulfilled his dream of enrolling in the Academy at the age of ten. Starry-eyed and flabbergasted, he threw himself into his new, official training with as much gusto and fervor as he could possibly muster. His strength and stamina helped him immensely, catapulting him to the top of his class physically. Unfortunately, he had less luck with controlling his charka and his social life. The boys his age were intimidated by him and usually kept away, while the girls thought that he was far too loud and gruff. He eventually toned down, however, and started making friends with some of the other outcasts—usually boys. Together, they trained long and hard, generally with more failures than successes.Eventually, with the support of his friends, Masaru began to grasp the concept of charka control and finally developed enough skill to graduate from the academy at the age of twelve. During the time of his graduation, his father had an accident on a construction site and severely injured his leg, rendering him unable to walk without the use of a crutch. Masaru, with child-like cheer and optimism, promised him that he would become a great ninja in order to support them and their “uncles.”
Genin–
Immediately after his graduation from the Academy, Masaru was placed in a three-man squad with two girls that he had become particularly close to during the Academy days. Their squad leader was a Jounin named Goto Genya--a rather quiet and calculated fellow who, every now and then, showed a playfully sadistic nature. He cared deeply about Masaru and the girls and put them through rigorous training in order to make them the best that they could possibly be. Failure was not an option with Genya, and Masaru soon learned to complain about nothing and keep his tears to himself. As he grew older, Masaru began to fully recognize the distinctions between girls and boys. He always instructed his teammates to “man up,” but was the first to take care of them if something happened. He began to develop a liking for genjustu, but didn’t focus on it too strongly. Instead, he turned most of his attention to mastering ninjutsu and further developing other jutsu and charka management. Genya recognized him as the hardest-working member of his squad and constantly pushed him to further himself more and more. Through years of wear and tear, Masaru finally had the skills of a shinobi beat into his small body. When he was fourteen, her father fully recovered from his injury and returned to construction work, but wasn’t at quite the same level of skill as he was before. He returned to his business to find it dwindling and fought valiantly to recover everything that he had lost, but simply couldn’t. In any spare time that he could find, Masaru helped him with his projects, hoping to get him re-established but realizing that he was wearing himself too thin. He didn’t let that stop him, though, and just kept pushing--knowing that, if his mind could take it, his body could, too.Masaru entered the Chuunin exams a month later, but failed early in the tournament. This defeat was a stunning blow to his will and stamina, especially since one of his teammates made it all of the way through. To heap tragedy upon tragedy, soon after the Chuunin exams, Genya was killed on a mission, and he found himself with a new squad and squad leader. He saw his happy little world crumble around him, and gave in to depression for a few months. Then, upon remembering Genya’s instruction, he dried his tears and picked himself back up, once more determined to pass the Chuunin exams. On his second try, at age fifteen, he passed--re-instilling his confident nature and desire to take on whatever came his way.

&. personality..
Favorite Food;; Ramen, fruit, beef
Hated food;; Pork, Vegetables, fish
Looks;; Masaru has medium-length red hair that is mostly just disheveled all over his head, the only thing that really keeps his hair from distracting him is the headband he wears. Masaru has blue eyes, and a more squared chin, and seems to have a gaze that looks onward as if trying to plan actions ahead, but anyone who knows him knows that its just him zoning out. Masaru's body is toned with muscle, and bears no scars or markings of any significance except for the patch he has that covers his missing eye.
Hobbies & interests;; More than anything else, Masaru really likes to work. He’s very good with his hands and has a lot of different skills: building, drawing, sculpting, cooking, etc. He really enjoys simply sitting out in the middle of nature every now and then, watching the sun rise and set and hearing the wind whistling through rocks and tree branches. He keeps a small journal of sketches and is known to sketch anything that he finds particularly attractive or note-worthy.
About your shinobi;; For the most part, Masaru is a rather upbeat guy with a soft heart and a tough constitution. He’s incredibly outgoing and will drop almost anything to help someone in need. That said, his personality could come across as hard and boyish due to her lack of sympathy for whiners and her extreme intolerance for slackers. He’s a social creature and likes having other people around, but will almost always speak his mind on any subject, which tends to drive people away. With Masaru, what you see is what you get. Over the years, he managed to develop a confidence that could be mistaken for arrogance, but, in reality, is simply self-assurance. While he can be sarcastic, he doesn’t every play coy or fall into “childish games” to toy with other people. As he has never been in a close relationship with anyone other than his father, “uncles,” and a couple of sister-like friends, however, his personality and reactions are not set in stone. He’s still incredibly malleable.&. sample rp..
{I know this isn't in character but this is just to show what I can do}Apr 19, 2008 14:23:34 GMT -5 @al said:Alistair had been in the hospital for four painful days now. He was about to go insane from boredom and about to kill Diane’s friend for putting him there in the first place, The first day he had came they had immediately rushed to this room and began trying to heal him. The various methods they had tried to use seemed to do more harm the than good. Every time they even cast a spell on the rest of Alistair’s body he would cough up blood. Apparently from what they had told him the spell had not only cut several places on his body, the worst being the wound next to his ribs, but also it had somehow cut some of his inside organs.
Alistair sighed as he lay there in that lonely room with just a blank mind. Closing his eyes he heard the passing footsteps of various nurses and healers through the hall. Nobody had even bothered to come into Alistair’s room the morning most likely because of all of the other patients they had just received. That was another thing that kept bothering Alistair the sheer number of people who had just been checked in on this floor. He would certainly have to figure out what had happened on the outside, as soon as possible. Another hour went by and still nothing of interest had happened to Alistair. That’s it I’m going to murder that guy, he began to think beginning to get a little tired.
Deep in his own dreams Alistair didn’t even notice the brand new pair of footsteps entering the room. From the sounds of them it was probably an average sized male. Alistair remained deep in his own slumber until he felt the tip of a wand poking him in the throat. Hurriedly opening his eye he saw something that he could believe, he saw his father looming over him a devious grin upon his face. Within seconds of opening his eyes Alistair swiftly brushed the wand aside from his neck just in time to see a hex rupture out of the tip and into the floor. Not understanding what was going through his father’s head Alistair remained laying there for a couple of seconds.
Alistair rolled off the side of the bed despite the extreme amount of pain it had caused him and then rolled under it. William didn’t waste a second in lifting the bed up and throwing it to the side. Wand at point blank range Alistair eyes widened as he saw his father’s lips begin to move. With the faint sound of a “crucio”, pain surged throughout Alistair’s body forcing him to go limp. “What a pathetic excuse for a son I have, I’m surprised you survived against those death eaters. Most likely the only reason you survived is because they pitied you,” William sneered the words stabbed into Alistair’s core.
As William momentarily stopped the curse, Alistair had just enough energy to kick his legs out from under him. As his father came crashing to the ground Alistair rapped his legs around his throat and twisted until he heard small popping sound. Snatching the dead man’s wand Alistair slowly stood to his feet not even noticing the pain because of small it was compared to the crucio that had been inflicted upon him. As he headed for the door Alistair took one small glance over his shoulder at the body of his father lying upon the ground and walked out of the room.
Making his way down the hallway Alistair found the halls of the hospital to be strangely empty. As he made his way toward the stairs he was beginning to feel something ominous was about to happen. When he finally reached the stairs his gut feeling was proven true as he saw dead bodies piled on the stairs blocking his decent down. There were no bloodstains on the majority except for two of them. Both of whom were extremely close to him, it was his mother and Genevieve Mercier his tutor when he was younger. Tears began to flow down Alistair’s cheeks but then a mixture of bafflement and rage replaced his sadness as he saw who was looming over them, William.
Confusion coursed through Alistair as he took a couple of steps away from the stairs. He had just killed his father but yet here he was standing a couple of yards away from him, it made no sense at all. Continuing to retreat from his father he backed into someone and spent around glad to know that somebody had survived his father. The feeling of cheerfulness disappeared when he saw who it was, William. As he looked down the long hall he had just made his way down that was all he saw an army of Williams. Whirling around Alistair sprinted back for the stairs rather trying to take on one William then an entire army.
Upon reaching the stairs again he saw that there wasn’t only one William anymore but a whole other army of them walking over the corpses and heading for Alistair. Looking behind him and back in front of him Alistair decided he didn’t want to fight either army and headed up the stairs to the fifth floor preparing to hide from the army for a while until he had time to interpret the situation. Dashing up the stairs and into a hallway filled with various shops, Alistair opened the first door to his right and stared in horror as he saw his father standing right in front of him wand raised.
A torrent of water erupted out of William’s wand and Alistair didn’t even have time to blink, as he was slammed into the door of the room adjacent to the one he was just in. Water still slamming into his body making him scream he felt the door rip off of its hinges and fell to the floor. Rolling over and catching his breath Alistair felt several kicks to his face simultaneously. The force of the kicks sent Alistair flying out of the room and out back into the hallway. As he glanced at the direction of the door he saw three Williams walk out a grin on each of their faces.
Staggering to his feet Alistair panted heavily all out of ideas. If those two rooms were filled with at least one William then the rest undoubtedly were filled as well. Looking toward the stairs he saw the army from the fourth floor making their ay up and swore at himself. Retreating toward the far end of the hall Alistair cast various hexes at the huge army advancing toward. When they had come within ten feet of the window they all halted and just glared menacingly at Alistair. Not stopping for an instant Alistair continued casting his hexes mowing down the front few waves of the army until one of the Williams had cast Expelliarmus and sent Alistair’s wand flying.
One of the thousands of Williams stepped forward out of the large group and advanced a couple of feet toward Alistair. Alistair not wanting to be to close took a couple of steps back and backed into a window he hadn’t noticed was there beforehand. “No more running for you my pathetic offspring,” William said. Even though Alistair was about four feet away from him he still managed to smell rancid breath, and cringed his face in disgust. “It looks like you are about to die by the hands of someone you love, someone you just attempted to kill, sucks for you doesn’t it. Oh well I hope you enjoyed your life up to this point, Avada Kedavra,” William laughed and green light spewed from his wand hitting Alistair with such a force it sent him through the window. Alistair’s limp body rapidly descended the five floors and headed for the ground below.
Alistair awoke from his dream sweat pouring down his entire body. It had been quite sometime since he had a dream like that between just him and his father and it scared him to be back at that point. Sighing Alistair once again heard the various footsteps walking up and down the hallway. The sound of people’s voices flooded through Alistair and managed to calm him down. Sitting up pain ruptured through parts of Alistair’s body and he spat up blood. God where are those bloody nurses I’m ready to get out of here and back into the comfort of my own bed I’m tired of this crappy thing, Alistair thought to himself mutely.
