. Tenten's ears caught hold of the sounds around her. There was the air going by her ears, then there was silence. There may be a chirping bird every now and then, But Tenten was not listening for birds. She was listening for footsteps. The female had felt bursts of ckakra just a minute ago but now could not feel anything. She was waiting. Any movement could be caught by her eyes.
Tenten felt pressure on the back of her neck. Her eyes widened and her mouth opened to let a squirt of blood out. The blood colored her lips red and stained where it had fallen on Tenten's clothes. She turned her head as her body started to fall from where she was perched in a tree. Her gaze captured what had been behind her. There was nothing there. Tenten could see foot marks on the branch and they were not her own.
Tenten came back from her thoughts as she felt pain surge through her backside. She felt the cold ground with her hands and then reached for the back of her neck where she had been struck. There was a mark there and Tenten felt the warmth of liquid on the skin of her hand. She pulled it back so that she could see that it was colored red and blood was dripping off of her hand.
She felt another burst of chakra and then closed her eyes. Someone was near by.

Masaru woke up just as the sun came peeking over the horizon. He wasn't much of a morning guy but this was all part of being a ninja. He wasn't an academy student any more. With this in mind Masaru did his usual chores after making his bed and eating breakfast. He used his chores as training to make the time pass and so that not one second was wasted. Since he had finished the warm up training he decided to head to the training ground. He took along with him a flower to place at the stone of hero shinobi. His grandfather's name had been carved into it. His grandfather sacrificed his life for his team and his village. As Masaru walked closer to the stone he hummed a soft tune. One he was sure was his mother's because he had it in his mind all the time. Masaru knelt before the stone in his white shirt and tight black pants. His forehead protector was wrapped around his forehead and his red hair fell loosely over it. He set the small white flower on the stone in front of him and sighed.
"Grandfather, I want to be a great shinobi... just like you and the two men I saw that day." His voice was soft as he stared at the name carved in stone. He then stood to his feet in one smooth motion and turn away from the stone. "Alright then!" Masaru shouted trying to pump himself up. "Well I can’t do all of my jutsu in without passing out I might as well not even be a shinobi!" Masaru had heard his grandfather shouting things like this when he had been training and thought that it was rather cool. It helped pump you up and get your spirit ready to go. For a brief moment the old man in an all white robe flashed through his mind. It only served to pump him up even more. Masaru grinned and moved to a nearby tree stump. Raising his feet he decided he might as well workout a bit before he did anything. Swinging his right leg around it slammed into the tree.
"One!" Masaru shouted with enthusiasm. That would be followed up by another hard kick to the stump and another number shouted enthusiastically. "Two!" he smiled as his hands clenched and he kicked the stump for a third time. "Three!" How long would he last? Masaru figured if he really tried at least to a thousand but he didn’t really feel like going that high. It seemed that because every day was a different day there were some things he could do and some things he just didn’t feeling like doing. After about twenty kicks Masaru was surprised to hear a thud. Glancing around he was awe stricken to see a female lying on the floor.
In the blink of an eye Masaru was crouching beside her. He just crouched there saying nothing as she touched the back of her neck with her hand. It was then that Masaru finally noticed she was bleeding. Gazing at her, he figured he might as well help her. Turning her over he raised an eyebrow as he noticed her eyes were closed. With a sigh Masaru picked her figuring that whatever had hurt her might still be around. Carrying her over to the stone of hero shinobi he gently put her down and pulled out his kunai. Glancing around he kept one hand on the ready and used his other hand to tend to her neck.
